The pattern across the chest is Ndop — the indigo cloth of the Bamileke, from the Grassfields of Cameroon. It was once reserved for kings and secret societies. Now it belongs to all of us. Ours is drawn after the original, not copied from it.
Two ways round. Indigo body with the Ndop printed in cream. Same pattern, reversed — each one drawn for the colour it sits on.
